Getting Married?

Congratulations!

We believe a marriage between one man and one woman is one of God’s greatest gifts on earth. We want to celebrate this gift along with you.

What is the process for getting married at Temple?

Talk to a pastor at Temple about getting married.
If the pastor believes you should be married, then there will be four pre-marital counselling sessions that follow.
Book use of facility with Office Administrator before hiring caterers, florists, photographers, etc.
If using a pastor from outside Temple, please include a Temple pastor as part of the ceremony unless otherwise approved by the Lead Pastor.

Membership

Why become a member at Temple?

To show you belong to a local church.
To voluntarily make yourself accountable to a local church and its leaders.

What is the process?

To be saved and baptized by immersion
To be interviewed by Elders
To give a short testimony of your salvation and why you have chosen to worship God at Temple
Sign the TBC Membership Covenant
To be voted on by membership

What are the expectations of members?

Attend a church service weekly
Join a small group
Serve in a ministry based on your spiritual gifts
Give the amount the Lord puts on your heart to the work of the Lord at Temple
Pray for the Church to make disciples as well as praying for your Church’s leaders
Promote unity in the Church

What should you expect from Temple as a member?

To love and care for you
To grow and teach you everything Jesus commanded
To hold you accountable to the commands of Christ
To equip you to serve Christ
